Here you can follow my Food Journal

My goal is to eat healthy foods - nuts, seeds, berries, fruits, veggies, drink lots of water (and since my husband is a Kangen Water associate my beverages, soups, generally anything that uses water is using water from the machine). I am walking (3 or more miles daily with the Leslie Sansone tapes), sometimes I also will do a Slim in Six or Zumba exercise session. As the title of my blog suggests, I will getting the majority of my protein (meats) from the tuna, Salmon and Eggs - though I will be having other fish, chicken and cheese, etc in moderation. Limited processed foods and when eating out goal is to choose the healthiest items from the menu.

I did get around to walking my three miles today and right now I am snacking on goodies that I purchased at Ada's the Unusual Store. - dried veg chips, dried dark sweet cherries and uhh uhhh... some licorice bites. well I will try to go easy on all the snacks. :> Mark bought me a cherry shake from sonic, and so that is all I am having for dinner.

Appetite has finally returned.... TYJ

whatever stomach virus I had last week now seems to have left me. My stomach started rumbling in church yesterday and I have been eating ever since. Mark had bought me a tuna sub - a five dollar foot long on Friday and I couldn't eat it that day... he had also got me a bowl of soup which I did have on Friday - Chicken noodle soup. I had half of my tuna sub on Saturday about a 1/4 in the morning and another 1/4 in the afternoon and had a bit of ice cream. On Sunday I had a bean burrito and a strawberry shake. I am preparing to have the other half of my now four day old sub.
So no pictures of beautiful prepared creations this morning. I still have another bean burrito from yesterday to eat sometime today as well. :>

Still not able to eat. Had an oatmeal cookie, some sprite and a small cup of ice cream and some peppermints. Been sleeping my life away, but I think it is just that 24 hour virus. I hope so. haven't even walked my 3 miles yet today.
My sweet hubby brought me home a bowl of chicken noodle soup AND a five dollar foot long from subway. I put the sub in the fridge, I know my stomach cannot handle that right now, but the soup was a welcome delight.

Still haven't walked my 3 miles yet today... may have to hold off on that.

Thursday Morning.....

having saltine crackers and 7 up this morning to try to make me feel up to par. Not sick, sick, but could feel better.
Have a mug of vanilla chai beside me and oatmeal raisin cookies in the oven. weighed in at 160.3 - horrible I know, but right now more worried about recouping health than losing weight.

Tuesday 2- 22-2011

been nibbling on saltines this morning and had a few pecans, cho covered raisins and a mug of coffee. Not feeling too good. think I might have a touch of what Mark had yesterday. I don't feel bad, just not up to par. I'll be fine by lessons this afternoon. - I did walk my three miles and drinking plenty of water and keep washing my hands with anti bacterial soap with hot water. I'll be fine.

Had eggs and bacon and chai tea for dinner...

after I finished music lessons today I fixed a quick dinner of 2 eggs over easy and 2 slices of Schwan's bacon and about a half mug of chai tea with almond silk and kangen water. didn't hardly get to enjoy it as Mark was in a hurry for me to take him to the Walk in Clinic in Jackson Tn. Pic is of Mark in doc's office. He was so sick. (found out it was most likely viral aka 24 hour flu). While we were waiting on his prescription to be filled at Walgreens we went across the street to a shell station and he bought a box of saltine crackers and got us each a sprite.

Food journal....

can we just scratch out Sat, Sun and this morning... yipes. Took my MIL to Red Lobster Sat night, brought home leftovers, which I just finished eating (well there is still some chicken and a cheddar biscuit that I plan on giving my hubby), and yesterday had Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell. - not so much Tuna Salmon Eggs... - will try to get back on target. drinking a mug of coffee with dark almond silk made with Kangen 9.5 water. finished walking 3 miles (though I feel I need to walk at least 3 more..)..

no pics this morning... nothing creative to post in the culinary division.

had a glass of acai light made with 100 percent coconut water for a wake up boost along with a handful of dried cranberries.. aka craisins.

have a mug of coffee waiting on me to sip on as I walk past. (made with 9.5 Kangen water).

ate part of a raw carrot. I can never eat a whole one unless they are cooked or made into a glass of juice. idk why.

Had a glass of carrot juice this morning and then walked my 3 miles with leslie sansone, so was having a pretty good start to the day... then I made a pan of granola and brownies. Still so far so good, as I am limiting myself to the brownie and granola I put with my yogurt. Now, if I can just stay away from them the rest of the day!! I am drinking a mug of instant folgers made with Kangen 9.5 water and one peppermint candy, a little raw sugar and a dollup of coolwhip. The granola was made from a recipe in Southern Living, which I adapted to items I had on hand. it is good. has nuts, coconut, brown sugar, honey, oats, walnuts, cashews, craisins (which are dried cranberries), peanut butter. Brownies are made from box mix, added eggs, water and veg oil as per package directions and about a bag of walnut pieces.
Planning on making care packets with homemade valenties for my elderly neighbors and passing them around after morning lessons.

had a mug of folgers instant coffee made with 9.5 Kangen water. walked three miles with leslie sansone. had a glass of carrot juice, a banana and a handful of cashews. I am feeling pretty fantastic. - mixed up a bowl of tuna/egg salad for later on today. weigh in is not until Monday, but I have a feeling that the scales will be going down a little. TYJ

Chicken , wild rice pilaf, corn, roll, grape juice



I know this isn't Tuna, Salmon or eggs... but it still gets included in my food journal, which is what this blog is.

Also had a single reese cup, some valentine sayings hearts, some strawberry flavored marshmallows and a white peppermint bark candy. yep... I better get off that stuff immediately. yipes.

Having popcorn and a very small glass of sprite for my last meal/snack of the day.

hubby brought me a box of girlscout cookies but I am not even opening them tonight.. saving them for another day. (proud of myself!!)

breakfast - left over salmon patties with A1, carrot sticks, spinach bread bowls, C-boost bev.

Woke up to a cup of carrot juice. Gonna have breakfast here in a little while.
Breakfast - not really all that hungry.. had a few craisins and a mug of green tea,, now having a left over salmon pattie and a small glass of acui juice made with 100 % coconut water.

Lunch - folgers instant coffee with cho almond silk and a little raw sugar. Salad is mixed salad greens, hard boiled egg, sun flower seeds, cheese, croutons, pate with basil and olive oil and a little parsley.
4 saltine crackers with nutella.
